Last set of house pictures.
Basement family room. We don't have much in here right now, but we're hoping someday soon to get a used pool table, TV, and elliptical machine. The room is wired for surround sound. For now we just use this room for somersaults and such. :)

2nd Floor
I took a ton of pictures the day we had our open house because I knew our home would never be that clean again. :) I just haven't gotten around to sharing them. I feel bad that I haven't posted more pics of the inside, so here's some more of the top floor. I'm leaving out places I've already shown (like the laundry room and the landing.)
Kids' bathroom
Matty's room
Jossy's room

My favorite wall display
Master bedroom

The Master bath has a separate toilet room, and the tub is jetted.
There's also a good-sized walk-in closet off of the bathroom.

The 4th and smallest upstairs bedroom is our playroom.

Hopefully I'll get around to showing the other floors soon! Sorry for the avalanche of posts tonight. Dan was at the temple, the kids were asleep, and I'm feeling too sick to do much of anything (sore throat and junk) so why not sit at the computer and get caught up a little more? :)
How Do You Make a Monster Happy?
You give it a blue tongue.

Of course that only works a few minutes. Then the monster will realize one sucker isn't good enough and will therefore ask for the entire bucket of candy. When you say no the monster will then throw a tantrum and you'll be back to where you started.
It's been a long day with this little monster.

Hee Haw Farm
I went with the kids to Hee Haw Farm in Pleasant Grove yesterday. It was a field trip for the co-op preschool we're in. If it wasn't freakin' FREEZING it would've been nicer, but they still had a blast. Both were completely exhausted by the time we left after 2 hours.

This was much higher up than I anticipated! Jossy never cracked a smile, but at the bottom nodded when asked if she liked it. :)

A diaper bag, camara bag, and 22 lb chicken were getting to be too much for my arms, so my friend Shandra kindly took the poultry of my hands. I love this pic of them. :)

Pumpkin Fest 2009
We carved our pumpkins last night. After several years of trying to gut and carve Dan's and mine the same time the kids did theirs, we finally wised up and did the kids first, put them to bed, and then did our own. Why it took us so many years to figure that out . . .
Anyway, the kids had a blast. I enjoyed watching them take the seeds out. That is until Jossy started treating her spoon as a catapult and more guts were ended up on the floor than anywhere else. Still, they had a good time.

What's funny is we never told Jossy what to do with the spoon and she didn't see Matty doing his first. She just figured it out!

Jossy helped both design and cut her pumpkin (mostly because she refused to let go of the pen or the knife.)
Admiring her work
I know this one's fuzzy, but it's all I have to show off his masterpiece!

So talented, she can carve with one hand behind her back!
I don't know why Dan and I make a big fuss over our pumpkins every year. We never choose our designs until right before carving, and it takes us hours to choose! When you add that to carving time, it always means a late night! We gotta stop doing that to ourselves.
Dan chose to do Mickey, and since I couldn't make up my mind I just did Minnie to match him. With the crappy tools we had (one of which actually broke on Jossy's simple pumpkin), it was not easy!

Playing Around
I'm still trying to stick to my "one post a day" goal til I get caught up. It's pretty late, but here I am sticking to my goal! (Mostly because my husband said I should, not because I have major ambition to do so. I think I'd rather go to bed.)
For my birthday a few months ago I got an external flash for our camera. We had some fun for the first few days trying to figure out how to use it. We were practicing while the kids were playing in the basement one day, and few cute candids came from it.

Jossy loves to get tissues and wipe her nose whether it needs it or not. She's always asking for one. Adorable little weirdo.

I can't fix the lighting because I'm not on my regular computer, but I had to show this cute little tantrum face. It sure is cuter without the sound effects attached.
