I'm trying to remember why I buy them new toys when they clearly don't need much to be thoroughly entertained. Some cardboard and cushions are good enough.

Gorgeous
Jossy rarely lets me do her hair in any fun or fancy way except maybe special occasions. Pigtails, ponytails, and braids. That's our norm. I'm lucky if she even lets me brush it on a non-school day. It's probably a good thing that she doesn't let me do it more though because when she does, I always find myself staring at her all day because I think she's so gorgeous.
(And yes, that's her daddy's hand tickling her so that we can get a real smile out of her. She's an expert at fake smiling.)

Easter Festivities 2014
The Easter Bunny left treats for our family on the Saturday before Easter. Our kids had totally forgotten he often comes a day early for us, so they were very surprised!
We then went to a city Easter egg hunt. Alice stayed home with Dan for a nap.
Easter Sunday we took some quick pictures as we were running out the door late for church, had an egg hunt in our backyard after church where the eggs were filled with goldfish crackers, and finally dyed eggs before dinner. It was a busy two day for us!

Miss Lacey Turns 3
When I asked Lacey what she wanted to do for her birthday she said ride a horse.
Done.
We're all about granting birthday wishes. (And luckily Farm Country where you can ride ponies is nearby.)
When it's windy, you get to blow out candles one at a time while someone tries to keep them from the wind. Good times.
Alice stuck her foot in a cupcake so we took off her sock and set it nearby. When we weren't looking, she grabbed the sock and started eating it. She got blue frosting all over her clothes, Dan's pants, and herself. This picture barely shows the mess.
This goat below had twin baby boys just an hour before we saw them, so the birthday girl got her picture with the birthday boys. (You can thank me later for NOT posting the pictures of the mamma goat eating her own placenta that was lying there. You're welcome.)

9.75 Month Pictures
If she's a week shy of turning 10 months, then they still technically count as the 9 month pictures I wanted to take, right???
Ten Months
Sometime after turning 9 months, Alice FINALLY started sleeping through the night on occasion, going to bed around 7:30 and sleeping til 6:30 or so the next morning. Any time she catches a cold she's back to nursing all night. It's not a regular thing but she does it often enough that I feel a bit more human again.
She's freakin' in love with the stairs. She beelines for them whenever she's given the chance. One day Dan decided to see how far she could climb up them as he stood behind her in case she fell. She made it all the way to the top.
She loves any food we give her including eggs, pancakes, hot dogs, yogurt, and ramen noodles. The only thing she ever fights us on eating really is certain pureed baby dinners or some pureed veggies. She'll eat any paper left on the floor . . . homework included.
Spring Break at the Zoo
This was Alice's first time to the zoo. She spent most of it in her stroller, but when we took her out she LOVED LOVED LOVED looking at the animals. She would kick her feet all excitedly and make her loud happy noises as she watched them. I thought it was just because she was happy to be out of her carseat, but we've seen her do this since then when she's around other animals.
