At 2 months: He's easiest to make smile after he's eaten. He will coo and "talk" back to us. He loves to be held and get attention but can be content on his own a lot, too, depending on the time of day. No more than 3-4 hours at night, then up more frequently.

Asher 2 Months

Christmas Card 2016
We did a Christmas card when Lacey was a baby of the nativity seen. Another baby in the house means another little one to play baby Jesus! We got these costumes together quickly one Sunday and got them done and printed before Thanksgiving. For a mom with a baby less than 6 weeks old, I was pretty proud of myself for being so ahead on this one! I love these so much that one of the group ones is still hanging in my living room. (It's currently April.)

Reflections 2016
Oh, Reflections. How I both love and loathe you. I love seeing my kids being creative and having fun with art and feeling proud of their work. I loathe trying to get everything entered to the exact specifications, especially this year when entries were due right around my due date! So we worked hard one weekend to get everything done a few days before Asher's arrival. They all WANT to participate . . . but I swear I still have to pull a few teeth just to get them to ACTUALLY do it!
This year Jossy and Lacey both won awards for dance, Lacey for art, and Matty got a judge's choice award for his photography.

Tom the Turkey and Other Tales
Tom made his yearly visit to our house, only it was very short lived. Our lives have obviously been thrown for a loop with another baby (hence 5 months behind on the blog I treasure,) so Tom was a last minute deal. We filled out his feathers one night and left him up for a week.
Thankful thoughts included communication, siblings, movies, mom and dad, turkey, good health, everything, mom, magic tricks, desserts, milk, electronics, dad, parents, Asher, Covenants, my kids, vets, house, earth, cars, games, paper, money, families, Cedar/pets, and other illegible additions.
Asher in his bumbo for the first time was a fun day for us. He did well in it.
I ordered some bells for our ward primary. They lived at our house for several weeks, so the kids got to play on them a ton. It was a really fun family activity!
One day driving home from Alpine, I saw this sundog and happened to have my camera in the front seat of the car.

Smile For the Camera!
I finally managed to catch Asher smiling on camera at the end of November thanks to Lacey's help. She's the one who was making him smile here.
Blessing Day
We blessed Asher at church on November 20th. My older brother Tymon was going to be in town for Thanksgiving, so we went ahead and did it while he would be here to participate. (We don't have many priesthood members of the family locally.) Asher is the youngest baby we have blessed at just 5 weeks old.
I found his cute knit outfit on Amazon back in the summer and thought it would be perfect for our little Fall baby. No polyester suit this time, lucky boy!
